~Winter Carnival Theme2012
At the end of Winter Carnival they do a fireworks show over the ski hill. But before the fireworks actually start, the ski team skis down with torches and lights a design that signifies the theme for the year.
We are very lucky to have an incredible view of the ski hill right from our enclosed (but unheated) front porch! I had totally forgotten about the fireworks display and was giving Sophia a bath when we heard them begin to go off. And, yes, Sophia watched the whole thing in a towel. Poor girl was cold!
I guess snow makes Michigan great. At least, we have an awful lot of it. And that's just great.
