The longest way must have its close - the gloomiest night will wear on to a morning.
~Harriet Beecher Stowe

This morning I was super grouchy. I'm really just sick of the winter...I have a hard time.

When I got back from the bus stop, Joel told me to get into the car because we were going to drive around and look at the snow statues from Winter Carnival. I complained a lot, but I grudgingly went with him.

I saw the sunrise. I saw the moon set against a purple background. I saw the beautiful colors of morning light against the snow. And I saw all the snow sculptures that the students had worked so hard on.

My mood improved.

(This particular photo was taken while we waited in the drive-thru at McDonald's to get breakfast.)
