Learning to ignore things is one of the great paths to inner peace.
~Robert J. Sawyer

Next week is Spring Break, and our friends left today for their Spring Break Vacation. Whenever they go on trips, we have the pleasure of dog sitting their yellow lab, Nina.

Puccini wasn't so sure what to think of having this big dog in her house, but she did know she wanted to play with her. Unfortunately, Nina is old and slow and had absolutely no interest in playing with a puppy. Mostly she just ignored her. Puccini barked and barked and wagged and wagged and Nina would just look the other way, or sometimes just go into another room.

It didn't take too long, and Puccini realized that when Nina is around you lie down and maybe chew on your bone, so that's what she did. (Not that she didn't keep trying to invite Nina to some more boisterous play.)
